First of a series of portraits from amatuer photographic reference. This painting was done from sketch to final in Photoshop CS 2 with a 9" X 12" Intous 2 tablet.

The girl in your reference photo looks just Fairuza Balk. Very nice.

Oh, and the painting itself brings everything to life. I had no idea photoshop could be used for something like this. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought this was done in Corel Painter or something like it. :thumbsup:

Thanks man. Actually I used to use Painter 5 & 6 a lot (circa 1999 or something), but then I gravitated to PhotoShop primarily. You'd be surprised what you can do with building brushes in PS but Painter has so many great features in X I'm trying to migrate back to Painter.

Zindy, you do magic with your pencils, same as Orgo does with his tabblets. :)

This is really amazing work. The colours look so good and real. Really impressive. I wish I could do stuff like this on the computer, but I guess I will have to stick with my pencils :)
